Dr. Linardi designs participatory institutions that transform community knowledge into learning, research, and public action. She integrates experimental economics, behavioral science, and civic data science to examine how institutional structures shape who participates within public systems, including how individuals navigate services under real-world constraints such as homelessness and reintegration.
From 2020–2024, she founded and directed CAASI, developing digital tools and participatory projects including the ACPP police contract library, the 412Connect scavenger hunt, and a student data helpdesk with PDAP. She served as the inaugural Executive Director of the Equity and Access in Algorithms, Mechanisms, and Optimization (EAAMO) research association (2024–2025). She currently leads the Participatory Approaches in Data project at HAIL@Pitt, and is affiliated with the Pittsburgh Experimental Economics Laboratory.
She has been recognized as a Cornell Tech Siegel Public Interest Technology Faculty Impact Fellow (2024), received the University of Pittsburgh Chancellor’s Distinguished Public Service Award (2023), and the ACM EAAMO New Horizons Award (2021).
