Turn what you care about into what you do next.
You know what you're passionate about — politics, sustainability, cities, nonprofits, law, or the kind of problems that don't have easy answers. Graduate school at the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) is where that interest becomes your career.
Through our Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Public & International Affairs (MPIA), Master of International Development (MID), and Master of Public Policy & Management (MPPM) programs, along with a PhD and graduate certificates, you'll learn how policy actually gets made, how governments and organizations make decisions, and how to lead the kind of change that holds up outside the classroom. SPIA pairs rigorous coursework with real-world practice through internships, global study, applied research, and community partnerships so you graduate ready to lead in the fields you care about most.
Whatever you studied as an undergrad, a graduate degree from SPIA can be your next step. Engineers become the people deciding how infrastructure gets funded, business majors move into roles shaping regulation and sustainability strategy, public health students write healthcare policy and respond to healthcare emergencies around the world, and scientists, journalists, teachers, and economists all end up working inside systems shaped by policy decisions. At SPIA, you'll learn how to lead those systems, not just navigate them.
Explore the programs below to find the perfect fit, and start turning what you care about into the work you do next.
